Meet the Candidates

VOTEOpportunity to Discuss Issues and Meet Candidates

November 6 is right around the corner.  The Village of Merici, located at 5707 Lawton Loop East Drive, has scheduled several presentations and opportunities for discussion on the following evenings:

  • Wednesday, August 22–Kim Opsahl, Esq. from the American Network of Community Options and Resources (ANCOR)*
  • Thursday, August 30–Senator John Ruckelshaus  and Mayor Steve Collier
  • Thursday, September 6–Derek Camp Democrat running against Senator Jim Merritt Republican
  • Thursday, September 13–Senator Joe Donnelly Democrat (or someone from his campaign)
  • Thursday, September 20—Sherron Freeman, Lawrence Common Council (not on the ballot in November 2018) and Judge Kim Bacon running for re-election for Lawrence Township Small Claims Court.

The Village of Merici has been in contact with Mike Braun’s (Republican) campaign and is in the process of scheduling a visit from him or someone from his campaign.  He is running against Sen. Donnelly.

*ANCOR is a national organization advocating policies on half of persons with disabilities.

ALL SESSIONS WILL BE HELD IN THE MULTI-PURPOSE ROOM AT MERICI VILLAGE APARTMENTS AT 6:30 P.M.  WE WELCOME PERSONS WE SUPPORT IN THE COMMUNITY AND THOSE LIVING AT MVA AND FAMILIES TO ATTEND THESE INFORMATIVE SESSIONS.  WE ALSO WELCOME OUR NEIGHBORS TO JOIN US!
