What working at Merici looks like.
The work itself
A coach at Village of Merici walks alongside one person at a time. You help with the everyday skills of an independent life: making a meal, managing a calendar, navigating a bus route, building a friendship. The work happens in someone’s kitchen, on a walk, on the way to a class.
The schedule
Full-time and part-time positions are available. We build the schedule together with you. Schedules flex around the People we support, which often means mornings, evenings, or weekends rather than nine-to-five.
The growth
Our 2026 to 2029 Strategic Plan names staff development as one of four major goals. We invest in training. We support emerging leaders. We promote when the right opportunity comes up. Chelsea, our Director of Services, started as a coach and grew with us over more than nine years. Will Worley joined as a coach in 2024 and became our Kitchen Manager in March 2025.
