Brunette Building

Giving New Life to A Piece of History

The Brunette offers 34 studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom condominiums, providing permanent housing for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Apartment living can be expensive, and traditional housing options often lack consistent support and opportunities for social inclusion. In response, the Village of Merici is committed to creating more affordable, community-centered housing for adults with disabilities.

Located along the historic Fort Harrison military loop on the northeast side of Indianapolis, this former military building—once home to two companies of infantrymen—has been thoughtfully transformed into 32 ADA-compliant condominiums. These homes are designed to promote accessibility, independence, and a strong sense of community.

At this time, all Condos at the Brunette Building are fully occupied.
